Restaurant & Bar

The Plough has a lovely relaxed atmosphere where you can eat or drink - after a day walking in the hills, a long day at work or just a relaxing country weekend bolt hole. Our comfortable, rustic restaurant is open Wednesday to Sunday and offers attentive table service and an eclectic menu. Both bar and dining area have cosy fires in the winter. Children are welcome in the restaurant and in the bar until 9pm, and the bar is dog friendly!

Our focus is serving beautiful, fresh, locally sourced food, and we change the menu seasonally to reflect this. This not only allows us to offer you delicious seasonal dishes, but ensures our local suppliers a year round outlet for fresh produce.

We offer a full a la carte menu available Wednesday to Saturday from 5.30pm and on Sunday available all day from 12pm. See full details of opening times at the bottom of the page . Please ask one of our friendly staff if you have any dietary needs.

We can also cater for groups up to 18.

Here is a SAMPLE MENU (Please note this is only a sample and actual menu varies from month to month)

Feel free to drop by, take a seat, and eat. If you are a larger group, or have a particular time in mind it is advisable to book ahead.
